I graduated with my degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL, in 1998. Taking the fear out of testing, one session at a time

Currently I am tutoring Biology (among other sciences) as well as English at Pueblo Community College. I have been there for close to a half of a year at this point. I also have a 15 year old son who is in the IB program at Palmer. He does very well in school, I like to attribute that partially to my skills. I believe that we can all be our own very best resource in teaching ourselves how to learn and how to seek answers.

I have extensive experience working with students of all ages, from elementary school through junior college. As a parent volunteer, I tutored K-6 students in math and reading. As a Learning Center and Basic Skills instructor at Trinidad State Junior College, I taught classes in math and English, and I worked individually with students on a variety of subjects including study skills, spelling, history, math, and English. A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored two kids with elementary math, and reading. My best subjects are Reading and Writing! I helped the children with multiplication, subtraction, division. In reading, I helped improve there level of reading to a year ahead from where they should be. I am currently tutoring my younger sister in long division.
My teaching style is at the pace that the child is learning.
