A Little Bit About Me...

I attended Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan, one of the top 2 school in teaching in Michigan. In college, I tutored Biology and Chemistry. Most of my Chemistry students still thank me today for getting them through the course and into the nursing program. I graduated with a BS in secondary education,Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I have been in North Carolina for almost 4 years and I have taught Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Science. I also enjoy Math. I am able to tutor Math students up to and including Algebra I.
I have taken several courses on the different styles of learning. I try to find out what style works best for my students and work from there. I know several ways to solve Chemistry problems and I try different ones if the first method does not work. I have learned to use many analogies when teaching Biology.
