I would use a positive, reassuring style. Giving as much praise(high 5's) and having patience when there is difficulty comprehending. I believe in quizzing the material that has been studied to show progress. A passing grade of 75 is required to move on to the next subject.

My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : Math is on my favorite subject after computer programming.

I started working as a computer programmer. Then I became a computer operator/programmer using a main frame computer. I was in charge of all computer operations and I was also assigned programming projects. I also did a great deal of program testing and documentation. I also worked as a tutor at community college.
I let students asks all the questions they want if for some reason I don't have the answer I will look it up.
