Corey C. - Goodlettsville, TN 37072 (42.6 mi) - Speaking Tutor - $27.50/hr.
I haven't had any schooling on the matter but i am well experienced in speaking in front of crowds and one on one. I have done many speeches with my marketing background so I know a trick or two. My teaching style is a little bit outside of traditional. I believe in a more hands on approach not just say " Read this and lets see where you are tomorrow." People respond a lot better to this approach as opposed to homework or lessons that make no sense. I don't have any formal training like college or anything. Every bit of my experience is real world experience from working in the field. I believe that hands on or real world experience is much more efficient compared to book knowledge. A book can only tell you a thing or two that might work. I know what will work.

The key to being a good teacher is being patient. I believe children learn best in a positive and stress-free environment. When a child does good on the work then I praise them and if they make a mistake then I explain to them the error in the homework. When I was a small child, I remember my teacher being patient and helping me along the way. I feel that although children learn in different ways and different paces that being patient with children is a universal and effective teaching style. I am currently a Senior at Western Kentucky University majoring in Creative Advertising with a minor in Computer Information Systems. I have several years experience in tutoring children and I am a strong believer in education. I am currently a Child Program Facilitator at the Boys & Girls Club where I read to children and help with their homework. I also have volunteer expereince as a Arts and Cra

My easy going nature and fun personality allows me to make learning interesting. I have always believed that the best way for someone to learn is to put the information into terms that are understandable to them. In the past I have used illustrations, acted out scenes from battles, utilized initialisms, and made up songs to help students learn concepts. Connections between the content and familiar concepts are essential, and thus I find it very important to get to know the student and how they learn in order to best help them. My goal is to make sure that all my students are able to reach their educational goals, and ultimately by the end of our sessions my students will be able to teach the information to someone else. Life is the greatest teacher. Throughout my life I have been presented with numerous opportunities to expand upon my natural abilities. At a young age I was bilingual in

I love teaching accounting and am an expert in assessing the level of students and teaching accordingly. I have a passion for working with students who want to learn, but have difficulty grasping the concepts. I adapt to students' level of learning and I will repeatedly cover information until I feel that the student masters the subject area. I received formal instructor training while serving in the United States Army and successfully taught over 700 students for advanced training. I have 4 years experience teaching for two community colleges and currently an adjunct professor for a 4 year college. I am proficient in all areas of accounting both as an instructor and a worker.

I love teaching and working with all types of children. I think children learn in different ways and have to conform to their teaching style. I was a slow reader but have learned ways to make reading fun. I hope to make reading fun for the child. I want the children to meet thier full potential of what they are capeable of. I want to make a difference and start making a reader today. As a college graduate I have been driven to do my best to make sure every child is given the opportunity to have the very best education. I have earned my Bachelor degree in early childhood but do not hold a teacher's certificate. I have had extensitve training in edcuation courses, and love helping children read. I have been a part of a S.M.A.R.T (Start Making A Reader Today)program and have done some teaching to my boyfriend's niece who is now reading and writing. I love teaching children and help
