In College I would form groups to try and study for upcoming test or exams. Doing this it really helped me to learn what I was studying and how other people learn as well. Patients is a amazing thing to have when trying to teach. Many students learn at a different pace and I feel that finding that pace for every student is important. I have recently graduated from Regis University. At Regis,along with institutional lessons, they taught me life lessons as well. I honorably graduated in May on 2009 with a BA in English and a minor in Business Administration. I was taught linguistically and grammatically in my studies at Regis. I understand easy mistakes one can make, and mistakes that are hard to see and understand by just reading a paragraph. Due to the fact that I was an English major I spent most of my time writing essays and lengthy papers, only to have them returned revised and had to re-write them noticing my own mistakes along the way. When I taught professionally, I taught teams of scientists and then instructional designers. I'm comfortable with all ages and backgrounds. Scaffolding and positive reinforcement describes my teaching style; combined with a healthy dose of humor and individual, associative modeling. Learning should be fun and challenging.
