As a student attending Florida State University's Civil Engineering program I was required to regularly learn, understand and apply complex mathematical equations, and scientific concepts to both hypothetical and real world problems. I was also required to regularly exercise my grammatical skills through regular lab reports. In regards to tutoring experience, as a high school student attending A.C. Mosley High School during my senior year it was requested by a M.A.P.P.S. A Little Bit About Me...

As a student at Florida State University, Panama City Campus, I have been learning how to educate and tutor children. I currently tutor two children at my local elementary school that are below level/struggling readers.I have been learning how to teach all five areas(reading, math, social studies, art, science, and language arts) that are part of a child's learning experience. I am very excited to student teach in the Spring of 2011 and start helping children more by tutoring. I have worked as a substitute teacher over the past few years in Washington County and have worked in all the grade levels.

I have a lot of experience in research and writing as my first career after college involved business planning. A Little Bit About Me...

The school setting is the perfect enviroment for character education. The combination of teaching academics and attitude together can lead a student on a path to success in all areas of life. It is my hope that students leave my care with a desire to reach their potential and be better than their peers.
I hold a provisional Teaching Certification from the State of Michigan; I have begun the process of transferring it to the State of Florida. A Masters degree in Education is in my near future. Prior to moving to Florida I was a football and softball coach for close to 10 years while serving the school district as a long term substitute in several capacities including Elementary and Special Education assignments.
