I have my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from a private, Catholic university. My time there taught me to be not only determined in what I do, but also ethical. During my college years, I spent a year tutoring students in English and Psychology courses. I am open to working with any level of student in English/Reading/Grammar/Literature and with high school and college level Psychology students.
I believe that all children learn differently and that all children should be given a chance to learn in ways that suit them most. I believe in helping students achieve their personal best. I am dedicated to assisting students in achieving their academic goals and I try my hardest to be a good role model to every student I encounter.

A Little Bit About Me...

I found each day of working with my students both challenging and rewarding. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach to education; rather I feel that programs should be developed/adapted to meet the needs of each individual. Educators must fit the program to the child, not fit the child to the program. Whether or not a student has a disability, it seems to me that the goals are basically the same: to help our youth to develop their maximum potential, whatever that may be, and to grow to be competent, productive, and independent young adults.
As a teacher for the Washtenaw Intermediate School District, I had the privilege of working with students, age 3 to 21, who had significant cognitive impairments, and occasionally other disabilities such as autism and physically impairments. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style has defiantly evolved over the years working with a wide variety of students and learning styles. I have learned that each student is unique, and should not be underestimated simply because of a diagnosis or so called disability. I do my best to approach each student s learning style with an open mind and a wide range of possible strategies and tools. My goal as an educator is to ensure that a student reaches her or his potential and beyond. I strive to never underestimate a student or to stagger their intellectual growth by underestimating their potential.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that many students do not know how to study, and are unsure of where to begin. This is especially true for students entering college, or high school, who never really had to study before. As a tutor, it is my job to help the student break down the material into manageable parts and teach them to identify what is important, and how to get organized. The role of a tutor is to not give you the answers, but to help you get the answers on your own. I can show you how to problem solve, and help with test stress.
