I am 23 years old and strive for excellence constantly. I currently have two jobs and a child. I work hard for my family and make sure that I do my best in everything that is put in front of me. I have made it through high school and college. I have worked with younger children as well as older children. I like to be challenged and will learn with anyone and everyone I work with.
I have many ways of teaching. I like to make the experience rewarding, fun and educational. As I continue to work with others I find their strengths and weaknesses and do the best I can to make the experience fun and as stress free as possible. I have taught General Math in Junior High, Algebra and Geometry in Junior High and High School, Introduction to Mathematics, and three different Algebra courses in Junior College. I have learned a lot of techniques in teaching. I am currently teaching twenty hours a week to adults in High School Science, some Electives, and in Mathematics.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a higher education professional who has come to believe that the best way to impact students is to return to teaching. I have a long-standing interest in the philosophy of teaching. I am particularly impressed by "deep learning," a movement that emphasizes critical thinking and inquiry at all levels of teaching. I also believe in high expectations combined with a strong support system, and a common sense approach to the subject matter. I have come to believe that much "teaching" is nothing more than giving students the illusion that they have learned something; this is evidenced by the "cram and regurgitate" approach often taken by students.
