I received an MS in Statistics in 1985, and I worked for a pharmaceutical company in NJ for a year and a half. After that I stayed home, raising two children. With the children growing up, I returned to school and got a second Master's degree in Applied Math last year. While studying for my latest degree, I did tutoring in Statistics. I ask the student why they need the statistics and what do they need to know. While tutoring, it's important to make the subject clear.
