I have been working with students in a reading program at a Title I school for 2 years; working with second language students teaching them the English language. I have taught Math and Science for 4th and 5 grade using the Foss system. The Science program was a hands on experiments, writing and keeping a science notebook. Evaluations were given at the end of each lesson segment involving the Foss Systems. Taught 3rd grade all subject for 5 years teaching all subjects. I have been recognized for classroom management above expectations for the school. Students were taught with creativity and experience using hands on manipulatives and differenciated lessons. I am presently teaching 2nd grade, all subjects and also using the Foss Systems for science, Investigations for math in which many manipulitves are used to promote a higher level of thinking.

I have a completely hands on approach to teaching. I work with the student to see what it is they understand and what they do not. From there we work through the different areas until the student fully understands what they are missing. This allows for the student to feel as though they have a sense of accomplishment. I am a current student at UNLV earning my dual Bachelor degrees in Marketing and Health Care Administration. During my time as a student I have helped tutor my brother and friends in various subjects from English to Math.
