I have tutored for many years. I first started tutoring in High School, then while I was in College and lately for the neighborhood children. I have brought younger children up to speed in reading (k-5). I have worked with children in Middle School and High School with their math work. I have tutored pre-algebra and algebra. I have a completely hands on approach to teaching. I work with the student to see what it is they understand and what they do not. From there we work through the different areas until the student fully understands what they are missing. This allows for the student to feel as though they have a sense of accomplishment.

I enjoyed teaching and tutoring undergraduate and graduate students, assisting professors in achieving class objectives. I was also a teacher at a bilingual elementary school. I taught, created and utilized quizzes and games to help kids learning. I enjoy being with students at all ages. I love children and I love being able to share my love of learning with them. Children want to learn and there is nothing better than seeing a child’s face light up when they “get it.” Even though I have science degrees, I have never found my science or math courses to be particularly easy.
