My comments on tutoring Spanish : I am not a native Spanish speaker, but I have been learning the language for many years, and I have a minor in it. I can help most with grammar, vocabulary,and reading.

My main goal is to help my students become more confident in their own abilities to learn material, improve skills, and express their ideas. I will not give anyone all the answers, and I will not do all the work for anyone, but I will help anyone to achieve his or her goals by providing the tools for success. I will never simply say that something is incorrect without explaining why. I try to center my students' interests in fun activities to make learning more exciting. If I can turn something into a game, I will!
I graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in English Literary and Cultural Studies and a minor in Spanish. Spanish is one of my top subjects!

I find diffrent ways to help children understand what they are learning in a fun way.
Throw out my high school year I was in a program called “Learn and Serve”. This program consisted of going to the closest elementary school for an hour a day and be a teachers aid. Therefor, I help any student who was having difficulties. In some cases would even help teach a lesson if the only adult in the room was a sub teacher.

I generally try to remain as friendly as possible with the tutee so that he/she can relax and learn in a comfortable environment. I work on a first-name basis and try to make sure that the student is LEARNING, rather than merely finishing his/her homework. I teach using a Platonic method, asking prodding questions and getting the tutee to figure out the material him/herself. Occasionally, I have to teach in a more stern and disciplined manner b/c the student is distracted or doesn't feel like doing the work. In these cases, I remain disciplined to emphasize how important learning the material is but do not speak or act harshly.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies where my areas of emphasis were Spanish, History and Family Studies. I do not have a lot of teaching/tutoring experience, but I am looking forward to expanding that type of work.
