My comments on tutoring Spanish : From beginner to intermediate levels

For the last twenty years I have been teaching at one of the top private schools in Charlotte and I have enjoyed every minute of it. As my 3 wonderful children became more and more independent, I have taken more and more responsibilities including developing a peer tutoring program, chaperoning international trips, assisting with the yearbook publications...I have the reputation to not only know my topic but also to have great skills at helping students identify their weaknesses and giving them strong study skills that will carry over any discipline. A Little Bit About Me...

I generally teach through visual aids and through very thorough explanations. If the student doesn't understand the first time I explain something, I will explain it in a different way and will keep explaining it in different ways until he/she fully understands what's being taught. I try my hardest to teach by explaining concepts logically and showing WHY and HOW, rather than simply saying something is what it is "just because."
