I love working and being with children. I believe that all children learn new things in their own way. I am very patient and out-going. My main goal is to motivate and provide the best teaching possible.
I have been pursing my degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of South Carolina. I chosen to take a hiatus from the University so that I can gain more experience working with young children in an educational setting. I spent my undergraduate career preparing to enter Veterinary School. I love the sciences and I thought this was what I wanted to do. After graduation, however, I discovered that this was not the path I was meant to take; I was meant to pass on my love of learning and teach. I entered the education system as a substitute and, after that year, I became a full time high school teacher. Teaching and working with young individuals over the course of my education has been particularly memorable. I have taught and tutored a wide array of students from Ivy league bound seniors to 4 year olds with autism. I am very open-minded and love helping others to achieve their goals and strive for excellence.
As a graduate of the University of Virginia, I was very dedicated to learning as much as possible. I double majored in Government and Sociology, yet was able to take numerous courses in other areas as well. After earning my undergraduate degree, I decided to pursue graduate school immediately. I was offered Graduate Teaching Assistantships at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. This experience was wonderful because I not only could learn in my master's level courses, but also introduce undergraduate students into the field that I was passionate about.
