A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching and working with young individuals over the course of my education has been particularly memorable. I have taught and tutored a wide array of students from Ivy league bound seniors to 4 year olds with autism. I am very open-minded and love helping others to achieve their goals and strive for excellence.
As a graduate of the University of Virginia, I was very dedicated to learning as much as possible. I double majored in Government and Sociology, yet was able to take numerous courses in other areas as well. After earning my undergraduate degree, I decided to pursue graduate school immediately. A Little Bit About Me...

I have 13 years experience teaching high school and middle school math. I have had a fulfilling teaching career thus far. I currently teach at Providence High School in Matthews, North Carolina. My current subjects are Algebra 2 and A.P. Calculus. I have experience teaching levels 6-12 grades. My strengths are Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Calculus.
In public school, the key to teaching success is the ability to motivate students to try their best by learning as much about each individual student as possible and keeping their attention. One of my classroom rules for students is to participate in everything we do. I found that the college groomed their students by emphasizing analytical skills--both scientific and literary--and giving back to the community through both service and volunteerism.
