In college I tutored at one of the high schools while monitoring study hall three days a week. After graduation I joined the Peace Corp. I served in the Tonga Islands in the South Pacific. I taught farming skills and assisted nurse volunteers with health and medical needs. A Little Bit About Me...

I can't really say I have a style since I believe in adapting to the student(s) in front of me. Everybody is unique, so I must use different techniques to convey the same message to different students. I am very patient, I try to have my student thinking with me on the journey to find the answer. I can't give the answer away otherwise that student may never learn.
My tutoring experience started my sophmore year of college, as I was attending EMU. It started in the classroom, helping out classmates, etc. From that moment, people started to ask me for a help on a daily basis. That is when study groups were created, where I would either tutor a group of people or one individual at a time on weekends. I am still tutoring some middle and high schoolers in math and science. I also tutor now college students in Spanish and French.

A Little Bit About Me...

The experience that I have is training the leaders/volunteers in running a troop or assisting the leaders. The training sessions is from three to six hours of presenting materials, video, Power Point slides and group interactions that will assist the group in holding meetings and developing programs for the troops.
