I am an essentialist in philosophy, meaning I want the student(s) to learn material that is relevant to their experiences and that they can find useful to their lives. I want to engage them in their learning so that they can use many different learning styles. I want to show them that learning is something they can do for the rest of their lives and that they benefit from their own hard work. I enjoy interacting and teaching others through interactive discussions, presentations, and hands-on exercises. I have worked with many people from various academic and cultural backgrounds during my academic and professional career, and can adapt to training individuals with a variable learning preference. I mostly have experience in lecture format, open discussion, and hands-on applications. Much of my work with others involved showing how to perform a physical act, such as a laboratory experiment, however, I supplemented the examples with details focusing on theory.
