A Little Bit About Me...

While attending college I was apart of many different study groups. In such study groups we would teach each other the information we needed to learn. Through this I interacted with many students teaching many things in many different styles. When I was in upper level courses I would assist the underclassmen with their homework so that they could grasp the information.
The style of teaching that I use is experience. I believe that people learn best when they work through and actually practice the issues. For example, in mathematics I believe it is very important to practice math problems. Not to memorize the answers but the memorize the formula for working through a problem. If someone would pay me to be a student, I could continue going to school for my whole life. I love to learn and come from a family of teachers. My award for service learning integrated information from the fields of Education and Sociology to improve learning opportunities for abused children. I have extensive experience writing and editing through professional training (BA in Journalism) and experience (various editing projects).
