Dedicated, patient, caring and knowledgeable are all the characteristcs that I would want in a tutor. Those are definitely characteristics that describe me. I have worked with children for the past 12 years in settings from private, public and special needs population. I enjoy working with children and teaching. I believe in providing a positive and comfortable setting for children to learn and in that setting students can reach their full potential. Over the last 12 years I have taught children in most settings. I also have experience tutoring adults in math. My current job is working with children who have cognitive disabilities and supporting their families. I graduated from Prince George's Community college with an Associate's degree and from Bowie State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I am currently enrolled in a Master's program for counseling.

I have earned a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology. I also have a strong background with computers. While attending ASU, I enjoyed every aspect of learning. Throughout college I worked with children in a daycare and as a preschool teacher. Elementary school subjects are my best tutor subjects, such as math, science and spanish. I have worked with children whom have disabilities for the past three years and view that as my strong point. For these children to learn everything from speaking, counting, reading and continuing into age appropriate subjects is an amazing deed that I am blessed to be a part of and in a child’s life. I graduated from high school with honors from a school that never pushed the effectiveness of attending college to students. I maintained my focus and attended Virginia State University in the fall of 2006. My mother was my inspiration, so much that I ventured towards science as my field of study. I chose to be a chemist, allowing myself to go above and beyond the norm. I succeeded as I came upon the completion of my undergraduate studies and obtaining a BS in Chemistry. While finishing up my final semester, I was offered a tutoring position that would allow me to connect with underclassmen as well as my peers, not only with class work but aiding as a mentor to students as well. My teaching style is so passionate, I love opening doors to where students actually grasps the idea of learning and the effectiveness of it.
