A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and working with all children. I believe each child has a different learning style and the tutor must identify it and use it to help the child better absorb and retain the information for complete comprehension and not just test regurgitation. I am very patient and understanding that a lesson might have to be taught many different ways for the student to learn. In teaching I am basically a generalist and humanist. My background is in mathematics and the sciences, but with a solid foundation in the humanities. My philosophy for effective education is comprised of six components creativity, character, culture, civic capacity, shared governance and student centeredness. I believe student centeredness is the trunk and the other components are the branches. Each component is connected to the other and they share common characteristics.
