I am fluent in both French and English. I hold a bachelor's degree in economics and finance from Union University 2002 and an MBA from Palm Beach Atlantic University 2012. I have coached and tutored students athletes and regular students in high school and college. I work through building a system of excellence in learning that fits the individual.
I look for students to build their own answers through logical and intuitive reasoning based on my feedback. If the student truly struggles, I basically breakdown the subject matter into blocks and demonstrate it in a logical fashion. Most of the time, I believe the student needs to learn how to learn. The subject matter is rarely the issue, just the least it mechanisms.

A Little Bit About Me...

One of the reasons that I'm interested in tutoring is that, although I love working with individual students and small groups, I am less interested in classroom management, discipline and the rest of the duties that come along with substitute teaching. I am excellent at relating to students and absolutely can help those who are willing to learn. I have a B.S. in Dietetics with a chemistry minor, as well as an M.B.A. My role as a dietitian requires the ability to teach all ages groups, with diverse backgrounds and educational levels. After completion of my MBA, I moved into a senior leadership role. In this position, I facilitated strategic planning sessions and tutored staff who were completing BS or MS degrees in English, sciences, quality, writing, and business classes.
In groups, I like to have many examples and participation from the audience. As a manager and mentor, I also prefer to teach a concept and return to it when the student has an opportunity to use it in their work. A Little Bit About Me...

I love to help people understand the complexities of accounting and the tax code. As a tax preparer I made it my duty to help each client understand their tax situation and made sure they could take all allowable deductions and credits. My teaching style is to lead by example but then provide the student with the oppurtunity to work through the problem on their own.
