A Little Bit About Me...

I began working as a Water Safety Instructor when I was 16 and taught swimming to people age 3 to age 76. I worked as a Teacher's Assistant at West Virginia university and taught my own section of a one credit course required of all freshmen students while working on a BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. While working on my MA in English Literature with a Certificate in Folklore at George Mason university, I worked as a substitute teacher and then was hired as a full time middle school English teacher. I worked as a middle school English teacher until April 2010.
I have a passion for working individually with students to find their personal learning styles so that they can succeed and excel academically. I love working will all children, seeing their strengths and weaknesses. I feel that all children can learn you just have to find the best way to approach each student's individual learning style. I am currently a student at East Stroudsburg University, studying special education and psychology.
