A Little Bit About Me...

As a teacher, I believe my greatest success comes, not when I set goals for my students and push them towards MY goals, but when I simply facilitate my students pursuit of his/her own personal goals. In my first lesson, I always ask my student what he/she wants to accomplish and work together with them to set short and long term goals that will allow them to pursue learning they way THEY want to. I believe that practice should be enjoyable! I always make sure to use whatever music my student enjoys listening to as a means to teach the foundational skills that are required when playing any form of music.
