A Little Bit About Me...

After graduation from App. State, I traveled across much of the US as a professional musician. I have teaching experience with both adults and childeren in both classical music and church music. I also have experience in recording as a producer and arranger.
I enjoy teaching both children and adults, from beginners on up to future music majors. Each student is unique, so I try to adapt my instruction to take advantage of each students strenghts. Those strengths may be musical background, ability to play by ear, strong theory skills, and so on. I also enjoy teaching different musical skills such as: Theory, ear training, and arranging. Although I have been self employed for the last 6 years, I went back to school last year to add Science and Math for middle school to my certification. I passed the Praxis for both of those subjects spring of 2010. I was not able to get a full time teaching position this year. I went back to working for myself but would love to tutor.
