First,I show my students I deeply care how they feel about learning. I help them identify their blocks to learning and success and help put them at ease. I know how to adapt my style to the particular age I am working with. I am very patient. I know proven strategies to help students master basic skills and more complex skills, using their style of learning. I will recognize pretty early on their zone of mastery, and capacity to cope, so they don't get too frustrated or too bored.
