Teaching is my passion. I love working with students and to watch them grow and learn. All students deserve an exceptional education and they should be taught to their own learning style. Many students learn at different rates and need instruction that is based on their weaknesses. Children should be taught in a motivating, caring and empathetic environment. I tutored math for 2 years while in undergraduate and graduate school I taught pre-calculus at Speed Scientific School for 1 year as an undergraduate. I was a graduate teaching assistant. I worked for Dr. Art Riehl.
I love teaching math. I try to make students realize its importance. I always use lots of drawings, graphs, and charts to help them learn. Visual effects facilitate the understanding and makes the learning process easier.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe each student can learn and it’s my responsibility to find how each one learns best. So much of it is about instilling confidence in the student that he or she is intelligent and capable of mastering the subject. I have been very successful at this and have often had short tutoring assignments: once we discover what is keeping a student from grasping the subject, fixing it is easy and then the student can proceed on their own with or without the help of a parent. The younger the student, the more I appreciate having the parent involved in what I am doing, and the results we are achieving, so they can actively participate with their child, especially once I am no longer needed.

For the last three years I have worked as a physics and mathematics tutor. Unlike most tutors I have experience teaching on the college level. I worked as an assistant physics professor at Eastern Kentucky University during my last year of undergraduate study. Currently I have a BS in Physics Engineering, which has allowed me to gain a thorough understanding of physics and mathematics.
