For the past four summers I have worked in a childcare setting. Last summer I did an internship at a Headstart and the previous three summers I worked at a daycare. At both places I worked with children of all ages. In May of 2010 I graduated from UW Green Bay with a degree in Human Development and Psychology. I plan on getting certified in Child Life. My favorite jobs that I have had dealt with working with children. I love working with children and making a difference in their lives. No two children are the same and that is why they deserve one on one communication. Each child has their own way of learning and that is why it is important to get to know them on a personal level.

If I could choose one word to represent the way in which I do things it would have to be integrity. I choose this word because it implies a transition from knowing to acting in accordance with one's sense of self as a whole. By bridging the gap between tutor to student I participate in an act of truthfulness which is mutually beneficial. I encourage intelligence, creativity, and development in myself and those around me. I am fun loving and eager to help others. I also have plenty of group-work experience from my communication minor and English comp workshops. While in college my professors often paired me up with the struggling students because of my strong writing skills. I recently graduated cum laude (3.704 GPA) from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay earning a BA in English with an emphasis in creative writing. I was a member of the AT&T Regional Education Center staff where my primary responsibilities included development/delivery of custom technology presentations and delivery of required sales certification courses. I was a member of team that developed comprehensive call center curriculum offered as a fee-based product by AT&T Call Center Consulting. This included courses specific to associate, supervisor and manger in the areas of customer service, inside sales and account management. These courses were later adopted as accredited course offers by Purdue University. I have served the last 5 years as an ESL tutor for Literacy Green Bay. I've found through my past experiences and opportunities that each individual has their own communication styles and learning abilities. I pride myself in being able to identify and work with each different style. I prefer to teach in an authoritative, positive, passion filled environment that allows each student to reach their potentials and goals. I graduated from Northern Michigan University, Magna Cum Laude, with a bachelor degree is Public Relations and a minor in Speech Communications. I worked 4 plus years as a sales manager mentoring and coaching my employees. I've tutored at Bay De Noc Community college and spent a summer teaching at a science camp.
