I am currently enrolled as a student at the University of Maryland, College Park, in my junior year studying mechanical engineering. Prior to my studies at UMD, I took several classes at Frederick Community College, while in high school. While on my way to this level, I have taken many interesting classes and seen both effective and ineffective methods of communicating the critical content of these subjects. I am a one on one mentor/role model/teacher that explains problems in a fashion to the students understanding. Math is often very hard for people to understand because they can't apply it to real world situations. I take the problems and teach the student how to see the problem in the easiest way for them. I also believe on hands on learning so I will explain the problem, show them how to do it, then have them try it until they full understand it.
I attended ASU where I had an excellent tutor in chemistry that took me as a math/stats tutor under his wing. I learned great personal tutoring techniques and tutored a range of students from middle school to college. I have earned two degrees, a BS in Mathematics and a Masters in Mathematics. I have several years of experience tutoring at the elementary, high school and college level. I have also had the privilege at teaching at the elementary school level and the collegiate level.
