My comments on tutoring Earth Science : Earth Sciences includes: Physical Geography and Geology, Geology is one of my two majors.

I like students to understand how the material they are learning can and is being applied to everyday situations. My teaching style is like a coach. I show the student the method to solve the problem and then I observe, correct and praise the student while he/she solves similar problems. It is important to explain the underlining principle in the problem so the student will be able to solve similar problems without just memorizing a few rules.
