A Little Bit About Me...

At the University of Tampa I earned a BS in Biochemistry. While completing my degree I became knowledgeable in many areas of math and science. I also gained skills in grammar while writing research papers, lab reports, and essays in various classes. I worked in the academic center for excellence on campus for two years tutoring fellow students in chemistry, biology, genetics, and mathematics.
I love to help people, and I thrive in relationships with others that leave a meaningful impression on both the giver and the receiver. I graduated from the Honor's College at Xavier University, which required the completion of accelerated courses, even in areas outside my major. Currently, I am enrolled in a Master's program at Grand Valley State in the areas of Cell and Molecular Biology, with an emphasis on Biotechnology. My love for teaching goes as far back as my high school years. Specifically, in 2004, when I graduated from high school, I decided to take a gap year before enrolling in college. During that time, I worked as a teacher’s assistant in a first grade class. That experience was both enjoyable and humbling for me because aside from performing my assigned duties to enhance teaching and learning, I served as a mentor to the young children.
