I love helping children achieve their educational goals. I am a firm believer in giving back to our communities through helping children that are struggling academically. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching to me is a matter of discovering those small differences in learning style that students may not recognize and having the flexibility to offer a variety of paths to understanding. The goal is conveyance of a particular skill set through whatever means available willingness to offer different approaches of teaching tailored to a particular student's strengths and weaknesses. My goal is to ease students into unfamiliar territories with the expectation of success. I believe that all students learn differently and should be treated as so; with this being said i believe that each student should work at their own pace and should be helped to find strategies that help them learn.
I currently have a bachelors degree in sociology with a minor in elementary education. During the past 4 years and working in the early childhood education industry I realized that many teachers were not getting the proper training that they needed to receive to help the children that they are serving. Once I realized this I decided to work on my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education in hopes that i could be an Early Childhood College Professor and teach students the ins and outs of the early childhood industry. My teaching is based on lecture explanation. During teaching/tutoring I encourage my students to ask questions. At the end of the lesson I provide problems related to the related material. Assign homework for next class session.
During my last year of college, I was employed by my university as a science/math tutor. During this year I was able to help students with their science problems of all levels. I have a bachelor's degree in acturial science and have studied extensively for acturarial exams. My studies have enabled me to master both higher- and lower-level mathematics and statistics. My background in paid tutoring includes College Algebra, Elementary statistics and statistical methods, but I've also helped classmates understand physics and chemistry classes.
