A Little Bit About Me...

I like to get on the child's level and teach that way. I like to ask the children what their best way is to learn and what are some of their favorite things are so I can incorporate them into the lesson.

My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : I have experience and training in teaching phonics to students in grades K-5th grade.

I received my Master's degree in 2011 in Special Education. During this time, I have successfully worked with students who have ADD/ADHD, Intellectual Disability, Autism, and Learning Disabilities. I have taught also taught ESL to both adults and children. I have successfully taught 1st grade students math, reading, science, social studies, phonics, and Bible. Four years ago, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from a local university. I received a BS in Rehabilitation Studies. This degree prepared me to work with our special population.
