A Little Bit About Me...

I first introduce myself and get to know a little about the student I am tutoring. Then, I establish a baseline of what they have learned so that I can direct my attention to their strengths and weaknesses. Finally, I get into the material with the student and show them how and why the material is important and applicable in the world in which we live.
I have served as a substitute teacher in Hayward, CA for 1 1/2 years. I worked as a tutor for Learning & Loving It in San Jose, CA for 3 years. I served as a tutor and teacher of adult education in Loganville, GA for 1 year. I am currently on the substitute teacher roster for the Vicksburg School District, and I have been so for two years.

I have developed extensive grammatical and writing skills by doing research papers for myself as well as assisting fellow peers and other students who had a need for a writer. During the last three years I have tutored and taught education in my church for the purposes of uplifting the educational ministry.

It is my belief that all have the right to receive a thorough and complete education. Children who enter the system at kindergarten should be surrounded by an environment where they can achieve their maximum potential. Their curiosity should be stimulated at a young age, and that along with an organized and developed program, will aid these students in disciplining themselves in whatever subject they study. Reading and writing are the cornerstones of education and should always be emphasized above all else. The purpose of education is to prepare a person for life.
