Creative, energetic tutor with special needs experience

I homeschooled a gifted third grader, including administering standardized end-of-grade test, for 1 year. I have tutored homeschooled first and third graders in math, reading, writing, social studies, and art for the last 6 months. I tutored a 8-12-year-old with autism spectrum for 4 years. I provided respite for children with disabilities for several years. I have coached Special Olympics swimming for 11 years for teens and adults. I have informally given piano lessons. I teach exercise to kids/teens with diabetes and their families at the Kerr Family YMCA.
I like to get to know the student and individualize the tutoring to his or her learning style and interests. I can incorporate physical and creative activities into the academic subjects if desired.

I received a Bachelor's in Dance from Brigham Young University in 2011, with an emphasis in Modern/Contemporary. Since graduating I've been teaching, choreographing and dancing professionally and will continue doing so for as long as is humanly possible.
