I have worked as a tutor for 10 years in all subjects, especially focusing on ESL learners. Recently, I have worked in an ESL school (FLS International) with university age students seeking to matriculate into American Universities. Before that, I worked in South Korea teaching English. While employed at these schools, I also work part-time as a tutor- mostly for middle and high school age students. Many of my students struggle with time management, and this is a main focus in my tutoring sessions.

I believe in a student's capability to reach his or her goals, and find that students are much more rewarded through a learning experience in which they use their previous knowledge to arrive at conclusions, versus having someone show them the correct answers. Teaching can be a most wonderful adventure. I believe every child can learn. At times students or overwhelming with new concepts, and they need to be encouraged, and praise until they can accomplish the task at hand. I enjoy seeing the appearence of awareness on a childs face, when they have accomplished a goal, or solved a problem they had difficulty solving.
