I have worked in several preschools and have experience as an Au-Pair in Italy last summer. I like to engage children and have a lot of fun with them through learning but I also know how to discipline. I am very patient with children and understanding. With teaching it is important for me not to teach children a lot but to make sure they have a solid foundation of knowledge and then build from there.
My junior year I studied abroad in France, I lived and breathed French. I lived with a host family, living as the French do. I even studied abroad in Morocco after that, further strengthening my French language skills. I first determine the student's level in each subject, and tutor accordingly. Since every person learns in a different way, I may try more than one approach until it is clear that the student is gaining an understanding of the subject matter. I am patient, positive, and encouraging. I find it very rewarding to help others.
