Learning Sign Language can be FUN!!

Hey guys, I am a recent graduate from University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I received a degree in Interpreting for Individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Over the past four years, I have developed so many wonderful relationships with members of the Deaf Community and have done an extensive amount of volunteer work for local Deaf organizations. I have earned a BS in Chemistry and a minor in Math. I am currently working as a chemist, so I have kept up with all the new studies that are taking place right now. I have tutored all through High School, College and thereafter. I have a real passion for learning math, all sciences, and history. A Little Bit About Me...

While enrolled in the teacher certification program with Hendrix College, I mentored/tutored an eighth grader in various subjects. I enjoyed the one-on-one experience thoroughly and quickly returned to tutoring at Arkansas School for the Blind. During my three years of employment with ASB, I improved ACTAAP reading scores of two students with reading/learning impairments after one year of tutoring sessions from Below Basic to Basic. I have tutored students in all levels of reading and literature, basic math, algebra, and the sciences.
