My comments on tutoring English : My English skills are exemplary, though I am rating myself with "I know the basics" because I have never taught it directly, though my general teaching background has included a significant amount of English tutoring.

I am a fan of the Socratic method of teaching, where students are led to an understanding of the material through a series of questions designed to help them think their own way to the answer.
I have significant experience teaching and tutoring over the past 15 years, from the time I began college and was a lab assistant during chemistry labs, through supporting myself through college by tutoring, and finally teaching numerous college and university courses over the last 10 years. I am able to express myself and the concepts being taught very well, and students seem to enjoy my style and enthusiasm.
