While working in various non-teaching positions I translated for Spanish speaking patients and trained Spanish speaking new employees. I speak both Spanish and English without an accent in either language.
I think that language should be taught by sentences rather than by conjugation of language parts. It is important that a student thinks in the language rather than translate; the student has to feel the language.
