Teaching to me is a vocation and not just a job. I enjoy helping children achieve their peek potential in the subject matter at hand. My teaching experience is mostly in private school settings and I taught public school for a year. I am currently waiting to be certified in Spanish in Virginia and will be taking the courses necessary to become a certified teacher in the near future. I have taught 6 grade to High School level Spanish, English and Social Studies and Middle School Math. Children's church is where a year of my experience comes from. I would guide a group of children during the service and would spend individual time with those who wanted to brush up on their reading and writing. I enjoyed every minute of this experience and can say I made an impact in those children's lives. I love working with children of all ages. I can say I am patient enough to deal with elementary students being that I've done so before. I love to have fun with learning and can bring the fun of learning to the classroom. I want the students to want to learn and that is what I am going to bring to the table.

As of May 2010, I will hold a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in writing and a minor in literature from Christopher Newport University. I worked at Majesty Christian Academy for two years. During tha time I was a Teacher's Assistant. I assisted lead teacher with student instruction. I also supervised children and were responsible for taking care of children. I was offered a position and taught a computer course to elementary students. I have a Bachelors Degree from Old Dominion University in Education. I enjoy working with children, I prefer working with elementary students. I believe in a multi facet teaching style. Children learn by many different ways. Some children learn by audio, visual, or kinetic. So, I would teach in a style that suited by the student's needs. I love teaching and working with children.
