As an aerospace engineering student at Embry-Riddle, mathematics comes quite easily to me. I enjoy solving and creating mathematical problems. At Embry-Riddle I quickly became known as the "go to" guy for all math related questions. Within the first two weeks of the first semester I was leading a Calculus 2 study group and retained my position as such until the end of the semester. While the study group dwindled in size for Calculus 3 I did still lead the group. I enjoy teaching mathematics and biology. If the student is willing to learn in some fashion I can help him or her. I tend to teach by examples for mathematics and for biology I teach in a lecture style, answering questions in-depth when necessary. In both fields I can give in-depth explanations for concepts. I am an avid learner and enjoy teaching and providing the same educational opportunities to others that were afforded to me. I have two Master degrees along with a Bachelor degree, with particular teaching emphases in History and English grammar and composition. I have experience teaching English, tutoring international students, and, I recently served as a weekly newspaper columnist for two years. I am both patient and enthusiastic in my teaching style, believing that learning and growing offer tremendous rewards, even as there are inevitable challenges to be overcome along the way. I have experience teaching all generations, from young children to older adults, and believe that learning comes in all different forms and styles.
