I love one on one or small class sizes. Each child is so different in their own way and each have such a different learning style that I like to take it slow and be personal with each student. In my years of experience I have learned how to make learning fun. I love to include humor and everyday examples when I teach. Children are amazing and after all our future.
As an Americorp participant during my early college years I learned of the many joys that teaching can give. I have a BS in general studies and very close to a BS in psychology, criminal justice, and English. Currently, I own my own Health Insurance Agency in Tehachapi. I am an Administrative/Management Professional with 20 years experience. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Health Care Administration with a GPA of 3.46. My 11-year old daughter is a straight A student because I worked with her at an early age with studies that were at least 1 - 2 years beyond her current year. I knew she had the intellectual capacity to learn these, and it has paid off for her every year of school.
