I am an English teacher who has taught all levels and abilities of students in grades 6-12 over the last 15 years. I graduated with my degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL, in 1998. I have experience working with both audio/visual learners and a kinesthetic/tactile learner. The kinesthetic/tactile learner had learning disabilities akin to ADD, but still did very well in the small group environment. I believe that children who want to learn will do so given the proper setting and sufficient time to succeed. I have very high patience for children who try hard and still struggle, but I do expect the student to give their best effort at each task.
