My comments on tutoring Elementary Grammar : I liked learning grammar, so I enjoy teaching it. There are so many fun ways to teach it now through games, songs, Marker Mania, to name a few. According to research, it should also be taught in context vs isolation. My area of expertise is in K-2.

I currently have a Florida Teaching Certificate, 17 yrs. teaching in PreK - 2nd grade, and 4 yrs. tutoring. I have always loved being around young children. It was no surprise that I ended up pursuing an Early Childhood Education Bachelor's and Master's Degree. Since I moved to Florida, I have spent time volunteering in Kindergarten classrooms, substituting in K-5 classrooms, and I was even offered an extended subbing position in a Kindergarten classroom. I believe a solid foundation is the key th success.

I began working with pre-k age group as a lead teacher for the four year olds room. After leaving that placement I started working with high school aged students as a substitute. Working with these young adults reinforced my belief that if a student does not have the basic skills learned early in their education, it is very difficult to go back and relearn them. Throughout my teaching and tutoring career, I have often found that I can help my students achieve beyond what was expected of them. At the end of this process, my biggest joy is to see my student successfully working on the tasks without my assistance. I've taught in public school and private school from PreK through 12th grade and even adult learners. Elementary students have learned to read.
