A Little Bit About Me...

I have a passion for teaching and the everyday rewards. Because I have worked in bilingual, private schools in a foreign country I have successfully learned to handle diversity. I have learned to appreciate the individuallity of each student and his or her needs in processing, learning and how they interpret the world. I use Bloom's Toxonomy and Gardner's Multiple Intelligence to build my lessons in a differentiated form to reach each student on his or her level. It is important for me to know each of my students so that I might be able to help them reach their learning goals and motivate them to take more responsibility for their own learning. A Little Bit About Me...

With a master’s degree and two bachelor degrees, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of positions in the education field. I was the first Wellness Coordinator hired in one northern school district, allowing me to relate with both students and teachers at a state and national level. In addition, I tutor ESL/ELL students as well as students preparing for required state and national based tests. I am currently in the process of transferring my teaching certificate from one state to another, while substitute teaching and tutoring students.
With a wide range of experience in the teaching field, I am able to provide a learning environment to students with differing learning modalities. My approach challenges students and adults to rise to their potential academically.

As a graduate of one of the top state schools in New York, I have always believed in the importance of education. I have a BA in art studio, 2 years of biology/chemistry, and Calculus I&II, which has given me a well rounded education. I have also developed a higher level of writing skills through my research papers and laboratory write-ups. My latin classes have given me a better understanding of vocabulary and the derivatives of different languages from latin.
