I am currently taking the English as a Secondary Language course at Benedict College so, I can be certified in teaching English across the world. In the summer of 2013 I worked at Lanier Technical College/ University of North Georgia as a ESOL Assistant Instructor. I spent my summer translating English to Spanish natives who wanted to obtain their citizenship. That's when I made my decision to go to school for that field. I have been fluent in Spanish since I was a young child. I indulge in English because its a resource that I have that so many world would die for. A Little Bit About Me...

Having obtained a Masters Degree in Comparative Literature I have learned to best mold my teaching methodologies into the educational needs of my students. I have taught freshman German at the college level as well as have extensive experience tutoring while I worked at the University of South Carolina. Finally do to my various educational background (I have studied everything from literature to biochemistry) I am qualified to tutor in a wide variety of subjects having attended a math and science magnet school in south carolina for high school. I went back to college to pursue a career in education. While in college I tutored basic math skills to college students and worked with middle school students under a grant program called GEAR UP. I am in my fourth year of experience in the secondary education classroom. The trend now in SC is to hire only secondary teachers with a Masters level of education. Such that, I accepted a position as a teaching assistant to at least stay in education with the intended goal of grad school in the near future.
