My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : Previously taught in a district where phonics was the core of reading instruction in the early grades. I previously taught phonics in a second grade classroom.

I am a very open minded individual and I really try not to tailor my teaching style to a group, rather I try to find methods and strategies that work individually for each specific student. I tutor based on the individual's learning needs. I have encountered some that were visual learners ad everything had to be drawn/written out. I have also tutored students that can have me explain it and they grasp it easily. My teaching style changes according to the needs of the student because not every one learns the same.
