Spanish is my first language and have a passion for it. In 2009 I had the opportunity to teach it to High School students and was a great learning experience. In spring 2011 tutored a young boy, age 9. I also am a translator, proofreader and editor. In 2010 I was in charge of a project to translate a 300 page class manual, which was translated, proofread and edited in a period of 12 months.

My BA degree was in Speech & Theatre. Who would have known that a shy kid like me would have excelled in public speaking, english, and theatre. I love the English language, even though I've had classes in French and Spanish. I started school when I was 4 years old (too early), and all my grade school years was challanged with education. Now that I am an adult, I feel that I have the experience to help children understand and find it easier to learn English and grammer, sentence writing, composition writing, essays, etc.
Laid back, but encouraging.If a child is struggling, I don't think you should add fear and criticism to the situation. Even when I was teaching a class of twenty-five college freshmen, I tried to move things in that direction, giving my students incentives to come by during my office hours (hard to do with such busy students).
