From past experience I have learned that everyone has a specific way of learning and therefore you must accompany to that. I believe that patience is one of the most important qualities any tutor could have. I believe once students realize that everyone needs help in life, whether it be work or school, they will succeed and completely change their view on tutors and their future education.
As a student at Kansas State University, I am currently enrolled in the Architectural Engineering degree and I am completing my last math class as of now. I believe that each and every child is capable of learning. I like to make learning fun and exciting for children by relating what they are learning to the real world. For instance, if I am helping a student learn money value. I might pretend that I am customer purchasing something from the student (cashier). They then have to give me the correct change. I am a very postive and compassionate person that cares deeply about the children I teach. My students sense this and this helps them be more confident in their abilities to learn and in turn more sucessfull.
