Arithmetic Reasoning can be difficult. The secret is to "decode" the words and change the English to Math. The key is to find the formula that the word problems are built around. The ASVAB AR is made up of only about 15 major types of problems. 90% require you to know the formula to solve the problem. I am Paine College graduate. I earned a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2006. While at Paine College I took variety of science classes including organic chemistry, atmospheric science, and cell biology. Since graduating, I have spent two years as a high school math teacher. I have also tooken graduate work in mathematic and math education. For the past eight years I have also work or volunteered as a personal math tutor.
